Step 1: Log in to your dashboard. Then, click on the Online Store on the left-hand side pane – a list of activities will display.

Step 2: Access the current theme. You can locate the themes on the right-hand side of the screen. Once you click on the themes, you would see two sections which are the Current theme and Debut Theme.

Step 3: Click the drop-down action button, you would see more options.

Step 4: Look for the Edit Code option. After seeing the series of the option provided when you click the drop-down menu, click on the Edit Code option. This will take you to the code section of the website.

Step 5: Locate the footer.liquid section. You can do this in 2 ways. First, you can locate the footer.liquid section by typing Footer in the search field provided at the top of the section page.

Another way to locate the footer.liquid section is by going to the Section drop-down menu and scroll down. When scrolling down, you would see the footer.liquid option which you can click on.

Step 6: Search for the word Powered. After clicking the footer.liquid option, you would see some codes. Now Press Ctrl + F on a PC or command (cmd) + F on a Mac and a search box would show up. Then type the word Powered in the search field and you see the results.

Step 7: Delete the Powered-by-link line. After searching for the word Powered, you would see code lines with the word powered. Now go to the line that has Powered-by-link and delete it. You can also check if there is any other Powered-by-link line and delete it if you see.

Step 8: Save the update. In other not to lose the update you made, click the save button. After clicking the save button, you would get a confirmation message. Then you can go to your website and refresh it.

Remove Powered by Shopify Via Edit Code Option in Shopify Older Version
